During late afternoon at 32 McKinlay Street in the Gorbals district of Glasgow, John Forbes Davidson Wishart, a police officer from Aberdeenshire, and his wife Jessie Ann Anderson become parents to a son, and name him John Alexander Anderson. John Jnr would go on to serve as an officer in the British Army, and was killed in action in Normandy on 26 June 1944. The family are part of tree WIS0076.

Canada

In London, Ontario 36-year-old Stanley Roy Wishart from Winnipeg enlists and joins the Canadian Engineers. He will go on to serve at the Signal Training Depot and was discharged from duty from Ottawa at the end of November.
