In Durdie which is in the parish of Kilspindie, Perthshire, a ploughman from Perth named Robert McNaughton Wishart and his wife, Helen Oswald, become parents to the fourth of five children, a son, and name him after his father. Joseph would serve overseas until the end of June 1919 and discharged from serve upon arrival back in the USA. Joseph died in Pennsylvania in 1960 and is descended from a German family who emigrated to America in the 1840s and adopted the Wishart surname.
