John enlisted in the 9th Battalion, Queen’s Royal Lancers, probably in 1914, and saw overseas service in France and Flanders from 18 October 1915. At some point during the war, he was transferred to The Queen’s (Royal West Surrey Regiment) and was demobilised on 24 February 1919. Currently, no further details about John’s life, or military career, are available.
