At 33 McDonald Road in Edinburgh an old bootmaker named William Wishart dies aged 81. Unmarried, William was the fourth of eleven children born to John Wishart, a coal miner from Dalgety, and his wife Agnes Muir. Collectively these Wisharts form part of tree WIS0027.
There same day in Burntisland 35-year-old carter Alexander Wishart enlists in the army and joins the 403rd Agricultural Coy, Royal Army Service Corps. After the war Alexander married an Elizabeth Dow in Balmerino and they had a daughter called Margaret in 1920. The family are part of tree WIS0066.
