In L’Ecleme 12056 L/Cpl Robert Alexander Wishart, 1st Battalion, Highland Light Infantry practices trench warfare at 11 a.m. whilst a draft of 30 men arrive with the battalion during the day.
Privates 3/4067 Robert Wishart, 7397 George Wishart and 2338 Andrew Wishart of the 1st Black Watch remain in billets at Le Touret and remain in the brigade reserve. 677 Pte. Henry Gray Wishart and the 1st Seaforths also remain in the brigade reserve at Lacouture.
In L’Abeele 85 Sgt. Gordon Wishart parades with the 9th Battalion, Royal Scots at 10 a.m. for inspection by Brigadier General Macfarlane, Commander of the 81st Infantry Brigade. Those who were not attending the lecture today spend the rest of the day making fascines.
