At 17 Dudley Gardens in Leith a rope spinner named William Wishart marries local confectionary worker, Jessie Dickson Smith. At the time of the marriage both parties were living at 16 Baltic Street in Leith, William being the son of the late William Wishart, a rope maker from Kirkcaldy who died in 1914.
Also marrying today is 22-year-old John Wishart, a blacksmith currently serving as a shoeing smith in the Royal Field Artillery, and Montgomery Chrystal, also aged 22. The wedding occurred at the home of Montgomery in 190 Pittencrieff Street in Dunfermline. John is the son of James Wishart, a local slater.
