Arriving in France is 11659 Sgt. James Walker McNab Wishart of the Royal Flying Corps . Upon arrival he is posted to 55 Squadron at Tantoville who were part of 9th Wing, and flew their first bombing mission against Valenciennes railway station on 23 April 1917 in support of the Battle of Arras. James fulfilled the roll of rigger and was eventually transferred to 97 Squadron later in the year. He is part of tree WIS00050 and in addition to his day job as a joiner, he became a professional footbal player after the war, playing for Kilmarnock, Carlisle, Halifax Town and Rossendale United. He died in 1967 and was married with two children.
