At the Kirkcaldy Hospital in Sinclairtown, Dysart, 66-year-old George Wishart – a cashier in a lime works, dies of heart failure. He was born on 27 October 1849 in Auchterderran and the son of John Wishart, a blacksmith, and Isabella Livingstone.
