Improvements are being made to the trenches along the front line at Richebourg St. Vaast. The 9th Battalion, Highland Light Infantry (including 2413 Pte. Andrew Brock Wishart) work on the revetting and providing a firing step that will allow men to fire over the parapet in the intervals between loopholes if necessary. The steel loopholes provided don’t allow a bayonet being passed through and so are deemed bad.
At Givenchy B & C companies of the 1st Black Watch are relieved by the London Scottish. It is not known whether privates 2450 J Wishart and 7397 G Wishart are amongst those relieved.
All other Wisharts remain at their previously reported positions.
