In Tipton, Indiana, Oral Wisehart from tree WIS0011 enlists with the military. At the time he was working as a barber in Kempton, IN  and joined Company ‘I’, 151st Infantry  and was sent for training at Fort Benjamin in Harrison, Indiana before being transferred to Camp Shelby in Mississippi. Born in 1892 the son of Henry and Eveline Wisehart, Oral grew up in Forest Township and was one of five siblings. He would eventually see overseas service in 1918 with the Machine Gun Company, 39th Infantry and was killed in action shortly before the war ended.
