At 21 Hope Street in Glasgow, a 28-year-old baker’s vanman named Robert Wishart marries a domestic servant named Marian MacFarlane. Robert’s residence at the time of the wedding is recorded as being Brae Farm, Lamlash in Arran whilst Marion is from Whiting Bay – also in Arran. His parents are Thomas Wishart, a joiner, and Christina Beattie. The marriage was made by declaration in the presence of Jeannie Gardner Stewart, School Teacher & Gilbert Taylor Lewis, Student of Chemistry. Later in 1915 Robert enlists in the army and was killed at Ypres in the summer of 1917. He is part of Wishart Tree 0072.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
