In Winnipeg, Manitoba, an eighteen-year-old farmer from Ochre River named Henry Allan Wishart visits the recruiting office and joins the Canadian Army. Henry would be assigned to the 1st (Depot) Battalion (Manitoba Regiment) although it is currently unknown if he went to Europe with the CEF. After the war in 1920 Henry married Kathleen Payne and a son was born twelve years later. He died on 23 July 1976 in Winnipeg and is part of tree WIS0057.
