Arriving in France to join 148 Squadron, RAF as an air mechanic is an 18-year-old potter from Pollockshaws named William Wishart. He would remain with the squadron, which was night bomber unit equipped with FE2b and 2d aircraft, until January 1919, when he transferred into 115 Squadron. William eventually left the RAF in December 1919 and after the war, married Martha Maud Brown in Eastwood during 1928. Two children were born of the marriage, and William lived until the relatively young age of 48. He is part of tree WIS0022.
