Enlisting about today in Belfast is John James Wishard, a hotel porter from Omagh. John’s father had been in the military and so he joined his old regiment, the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers. He was sent to the 4th battalion for training in Buncrana and assigned the service number 26248. John has the unhappy distinction of being the only Wishart executed by the British Army, and is part of Wishart Tree 155.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
