At Silvermuir Cop in Carstairs, Lanarkshire, a 68-year-old railway plate layer named Robert Wishart dies of tubercular disease of the ankle. Robert, part of Wishart Tree 101, was born in Middlebie, Dumfriesshire and the son of William Wishart and Margaret Smith. Robert’s son William of 1 Castle Terrace in Perth, was the informant of his father’s death.

France & Flanders

Arriving in France today is 1056 Pte. Magnus Wishart of the 10th Battalion Lincolnshire Regiment (The Grimsby Chums.) Magnus enlisted in October 1914 and is part of Wishart Tree 049.
