Capt. Robert Scott Wishart (1889 – 1929)At Warrander Park United Free Church in Edinburgh, 26-year-old Robert Scott Wishart, an analytical chemist currently serving at a lieutenant in the Royal Field Artillery, marries Margaret Gordon Aitchison, a school teacher living at 21 Woodbury Terrace. Originally from Kirkcaldy, Robert had actually been working in Germany immediately before war began and joined the military within a fortnight of the commencement of hostilities. He was the son of a builder named Matthew Wishart and Jessie Grieve Garrick and part of Wishart Tree 077. Witnesses at the wedding were James Matthew Wishart, Jean Glass Wishart and Ella S. Reiss.

Further north at Henderson Street in Kingseat, Dunfermline, George Davidson Wishart is born to George Wishart, a coal miner, and his wife Margaret Davidson. George is part of Wishart Tree 027.

Also born today is Ellen Linklater Wishart on Hamna, Stromness in the Orkney Islands. She is the daughter of David Wishart, a cycle agent, and Helen Kirkpatrick.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
