In New Jersey, a 29-year-old machinist from Leven, Fife named William Wishart visits the recruiting office and joins the American Expeditionary Force. He is assigned to Battery ‘F’, 306th Field Artillery and sent for training. William would eventually see overseas service in France the following year and survived the war, after which he married and had one daughter. The family form part of tree WIS0096 and William died in Kearney, NJ during 1953.
