A beautiful day greeted men of the 1st Battalion, South Wales Borderers. During late afternoon orders came through for the battalion to relieve the Durham Light Infantry in the trenches at Vendresse. Pte. John Waddie Wishart moves off with C Company after dark and takes up a position on the extreme left of the battalion line.
Gnr. George Greig Wishart continues the battle of the Aisne with the 56th Battery, RFA from the previous position at Verneuil. Gnr. Joseph Wishart remains at Jouaignes.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
